    Join us to celebrate the young authors behind the new Shout Mouse Press LGBTQ+ anthology, The Light Looks Like Me: Words on Love by Queer Youth. Immerse yourself in an evening of storytelling in honor of Pride, including author readings and a poetry performance by Denice Frohman. Plus, enjoy music from DJ Franky J and a book signing. Sign language supported.

    For sessions with amplified sound, hearing loop technology is available on request.

    Shout Mouse Press is a writing, publishing, and public speaking nonprofit. Its programs help young people from underrepresented communities share their stories with the world and become agents of change.

    Denice Frohman is a former Women of the World Poetry Slam champion who has performed on notable stages across the country. Her one-woman show, Esto No Tiene Nombre, tells the stories of Latina lesbian elders.

    Franky J was born and raised in D.C. and has entertained crowds at many of the city’s hot spots in her more than seven years as a DJ. She is also a content creator and former fashion stylist.
